The LabelWatcher is your customized inspection solution for the quality control of decoration and labeling applied on any kind of plastic packaging.
The LabelWatcher inspects labels on plastic packaging such as bottles, jars, cans and containers for a huge range of inspection criteria. Even at high speed – at up to 30 parts per second – a full label evaluation is possible. The vision system can be integrated into your linear or rotary labeling machine or as a stand-alone solution behind the labeler.
The software is user-friendly and time-saving: Thanks to the automatic reference mode, the operator is able to adjust the system to a new label within a few seconds. This can be done during active measurement mode without stopping the production. Moreover, extensive statistics and exportable reports display various information and trends enabling full production control and optimization.
The LabelWatcher allows you to create an interface between the labeling machine and the inspection system. Thus, it becomes possible to optimize your labeling process by reporting inspection results back to your ERP or QM system and adusting the label dispensing heads automatically – leading to less material and product waste.

If you use harsh cleaning routines in your production, the LabelWatcher can also be delivered with washdown-resistant components. It is designed to fit to common market requirements of a wet production area and typical cleaning methods - even with a high-pressure cleaner.
The LabelWatcher in Washdown Design can be attached directly to the conveyor belt or integrated into the labeling machine. But it can be also installed as a stand-alone system with a floor-mounted frame.
In case of other vision systems, you need at least one absolute expert in the company to adjust the system to the ever-changing types of labels. As a company, you are therefore dependent on a well-trained employee. The LabelWatcher is completely commissioned by one of our service technicians. It is ready-to-use, which means they are already optimally set up to meet the customer's requirements. Moreover, the easy-to-use software requires no time-consuming programming by the operator. Usually, the setup of a new product is already fully automated with the touch of a button.
In case of other vision systems, the inspection accuracy and and the data determined are limited. The systems may sort out defective parts, but they cannot tell you exactly which defect caused a part to be sorted out. With the LabelWatcher, you have the security of high-quality deliveries and an accurate reporting about your production performance. We accomplish this thanks to two factors. Firstly, each system is equipped with hardware explicitly designed to detect the typical defects of the particular labeling process (e.g. special lighting technology and high-resolution cameras). The second decisive factor is the in-house developed IntraVision inspection software. The software is focused on the different label types and is adapted explicitly for each customer product. This has the advantage that special label geometries or product shapes can be precisely addressed.
With additional functionalities like the automatic re-adjustment of the label dispensing heads, it is even possible to adjust the labeling process before defects have a chance to occur.
The system is able to inspect a huge range of criteria: not only label presence, position, rotation and identity are possible, but also fold and bubble detection, print defects and contaminations, as well as code reading.
Within just a few steps you can create a completely new reference. When changing products, valuable time can be saved by simply switching to a previously saved setup.
There are no limitations! Any kind of codes can be read by our special code reading solutions: these can be typical barcodes and data matrix codes as well as customized batch codes, UFI codes or serialization numbers. Codes can even extend over several lines and can be printed on the label or directly on the bottle.
