With up to nine high resolution cameras, a precision of 1/100th of a millimeter, more than 40 inspection criteria per closure, and a speed of up to 80 closures per second, the CapWatcher Q-Line gathers 192.000 cavity related product information per minute. Thanks to a full 360° inspection, you will no longer receive any customer complaints about delivery quality. You have the total control over your production process.
Most important is, of course, the performance of your closure! The tamper evident band, threads and sealing elements must be perfect to ensure the functionality of every single closure. That is why the focus of the CapWatcher Q-Line exactly lies on these elements.
For the first time ever you can also inspect the closures for their temperature. This enables determination of the shrinking process of the closure and therefore can ensure that the closure has the exact dimensions needed for the capping process. Furthermore, each closure receives a unique timestamp. In times of networked production lines, the measured dimensions can be used for a closed loop and for direct feedback back to the injection molding machine. This minimizes disturbances and optimizes controls.

The CapWatcher Q-Line is already able to inspect tethered caps typical elements on the inside and outside of the cap.
Based on the huge amount of data collected by the CapWatcher Q-Line, you are able to adjust single cavities instead of the whole mold. Moreover, new resins and master batches can be easily and fast introduced, and material fatigue is detected early. Necessary maintenance can also be better planned.
Additionally, the inspection software offers comprehensive statistics, diagrams and reports based on the collected data. Trends and possible countermeasures can be identified at an early stage.

Based on the CapWatcher Q-Line technology, we developed the CapWatcher Q-Line Slitter which is specialized for the inspection of slitted closures behind a slitting and folding machine. For slitted tamper-evident bands, additional attention is paid to the quality of the slit. The system inspects for the form and deviations of the cutline. This enables the detection of worn knives or problems with the temperature of the blade at an early stage. Moreover, general defects like long and short shots or broken bridges are inspected at the tamper-evident band.
