Review of the year 2024
The year is drawing to a close and you can see reviews of the year everywhere. That's why we also want to look back on some of this year's events. In doing so, we realized: There was also a lot going on at INT-RAVIS in 2024. Here are a few highlights.
January
Sales meeting
Our sales and product management team always meets at the beginning of the year. On the one hand, they look back on the previous year and evaluate performance. On the other hand, the strategy and priorities as well as individual goals for the new year are discussed. A lot of ideas and information are exchanged, but team building is never neglected either. For some insights, take a look at the LinkedIn post.
February
INTRAVIS at events
Over the course of 2024, we attended a total of seven conferences and five trade fairs. The first of these was the Packaging Conference in Austin, Texas in February. Our colleagues Scott Heins, Christian Perez and Allison Howaniec from INTRAVIS Inc. were there for us with a tabletop.
April
Employee get-together
In April, we met for our first employee get-together in glorious weather. With a BBQ and cool drinks, many a meeting moved from the meeting room to the courtyard. And it certainly produced one or two creative ideas from which our customers will benefit in the coming years. You can find a few pictures in this LinkedIn post.
May
Collaboration with Husky presented at the NPE
In May, the time had finally come again: after a 6-year break, the NPE opened its doors. This was the perfect place and time to present our new cooperation with Husky, in which our PreMon acts as part of a control loop. Further information can be found here.
June
Tethered caps regulation comes into force
At the beginning of June, the long-awaited EU regulation on single-use plastics came into force, which also resulted in the introduction of tethered caps. On this occasion, our Product Manager Marius Pötting took a look at what impact the EU regulation will have on the closure market. You can find his interview here.
Profile line sensor is introduced for SpotWatcher
The increased use of recycled material in particular means that extrusion-blown bottles are increasingly showing barely perceptible deformations on the body. Nevertheless, these can have an enormous impact on the stability of the bottle. With the profile line sensor introduced for our SpotWatcher Customized in June, our customers can now be sure that such deformations will also be detected. Click here for the corresponding message.
July
The tower hopper solves space problems
In addition to the increased use of recycling, another pressing issue for our customers is the limited space available for production lines. For this reason, we have developed the tower hopper for our capping systems. It saves up to 40% space compared to other layouts – with the same output. You can find out more here.
August
Focus on AI
Artificial intelligence has become a hot topic over the past year. However, the topic is not new to us at INTRAVIS, as we have been using artificial intelligence solutions for many years. For this reason, in August we once again demonstrated the possibilities offered by AI in a LinkedIn series. We rounded off this series with the publication of our own AI page.
September
The annual INTRAVIS summer party
The annual INTRAVIS summer party has been a fixed date in our calendar for many years. Partners and children visit our employees at their workplace in Rotter Bruch and get an insight into what we actually do at INTRAVIS. And of course, good food and drinks are a must at such a party. You can find pictures of the great atmosphere here.
October
At the Fakuma together with Beck Automation
Together with our long-standing partner Beck Automation, we were once again represented at the Fakuma trade fair in Friedrichshafen in October. Over five eventful days, our colleagues met many familiar and new faces and presented the benefits of our systems. Further insights can be found here.
November
INTRAVIS Inc. celebrates 20 years
After INTRAVIS GmbH celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, there was also reason to celebrate this year: our American subsidiary INTRAVIS Inc. turned 20. Together with the CEO of INTRAVIS Inc., Andreas Müller, we looked back on this time in a detailed interview.
Gulfood Manufacturing and new sales contact for the Gulf region
Gulfood Manufacturing has been an integral part of the INTRAVIS trade fair calendar for two years now. In recent years in particular, it has developed into an important industry meeting place for the Gulf region. In addition to our new developments and proven systems, this year we were also lucky enough to introduce our customers and interested parties to the new INTRAVIS sales contact for the region, Ranjith Nair. December
Meeting with Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce
For many years, some of the largest plastic packaging manufacturers in Southeast Asia have been among our customers. In the process, our colleagues Sascha Baumanns and Peter Offermanns have also built up many friendly relationships. In December, these relationships led to the two of them having the great honor of having dinner with the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. You can find a picture of the evening here.
Finally, we wish all customers, suppliers, partners and friends of INTRAVIS a peaceful and relaxing holiday season and a good start to the New Year.
